For more than ten years, the Statistical Yearbook “Migration & Integration“ has annually presented figures, data and facts on the various dimensions of integration. It is based on the 25 indicators defined in the National Action Plan on Integration, which are brought to statistical “life“ by Statistics Austria and supplemented by other relevant data and findings. To this end, existing statistics on various topics are processed and analyzed with regard to migrants and their descendants.
In 2023, additional information relevant to integration has been collected beyond the results of the official statistics within the framework of the migration survey. Selected groups of the migrant population as well as Austrian-born persons were interviewed about their perceived affiliation, language skills, media use and living togehter of migrants and Austrians. Informative analyses and comparisons over several years provide profound insights into the course of integration processes.
