Call for abstracts

The ÖSG is the non-profit association of statisticians who work at universities and research institutions, in public administration and in business. The tasks of the society include the promotion of statistical science in all its areas and applications. The ÖSG Statistics Days 2023 will be carried out by Statistics Austria in cooperation with the Austrian Academy of Sciences (ÖAW) and the Austrian National Bank (OeNB). The aim of the Statistics Days is to offer a platform for the exchange of ideas and solutions as well as networking opportunities to experts from science, applied and official statistics. Numerous well-known experts will contribute to highly relevant topics. Ao. Univ.-Prof. Dr. Martin Polaschek, Federal Minister of Education, Science and Research (BMBWF), Prof. Dr. Georges-Simon Ulrich, Director of the Federal Statistical Office (BFS) and Vice-Chair of the UN Statistical Commission, Prof.in Sonja Greven (Humboldt University Berlin) and Prof. Ralf Münnich (University of Trier) have already confirmed their participation.

We cordially invite all interested statisticians to present their research results and experiences and to discuss them with other experts at the Statistics Days 2023. Presentations from academic, official and applied statisticians are welcome and may relate to any of the following topics:

We are looking forward to numerous submissions and to welcoming you to the Statistics Days 2023. Abstracts can be submitted until 31. August 2023. Abstracts are limited to 300 words and will be reviewed by a scientific committee. You can submit your abstract here as part of the registration process.
