Short term statistics provide statistical data on the economic trends in trade and in selected services sectors as a source of information for market analyses. Short term indicators are calculated and published according to an EU-compliant concept in the breakdown of the statistical classifications of economic activities OENACE 2008. Further information to the statistical classifications of economic activities can be found under classifications.

In order to reflect changes in the structure of the economy, and starting with the publication of data for the reference month January 2018 (Trade) and first quarter 2018 (Services), the base year of all short-term business statistics (STS) was updated from 2010 to 2015.

Under Conceptual overview (PDF, 60KB) an overview of all adjustments of STS in Trade and Services and the method used for producing short term indicators can be found.
